1.The Minimum Initial Bid for the Dulcimer is $750. The CCPA is unwilling to take less than
        this amount for the dulcimer.  We feel the Dulcimer is worth at least  $750 to the CCPA as
        an item to display in our CCPA Cades Cove Museum.

2.Our goal is to initiate a silent auction beginning on February 7, 2008, and      
         continuing through October 31, 2008.  Bids by phone and by e-mail must be
        made by 12 midnight on October 31, 2008.  Bids send by regular US Mail
        must be postmarked by October 31, 2008.

4.The minimum acceptable increment in bids is $50.

5.If more than one bid for the same amount is received on the same date, the
        time the bid is made will be the factor deciding which bid is accepted. This
        would include postmark time, e-mail posting time, or phone message time.

6.The current high bid can be obtained by calling Ruth Caughron Davis at 865-
        982-3051; sending an e-mail to CCPADulcimer@aol.com; or calling the CCPA
        Cades Cove Museum at 865-982-0705 .  Posters with the current high bid will
        be displayed at the CCPA Cades Cove Thompson Brown House Museum and
        CCPA events.

7.Bid forms will be available at the CCPA Cades Cove Thompson Brown House
        Museum, the Townsend Visitors Center, Mike Clemmer’s Wood-N-Strings
        Dulcimer Shop, and at any CCPA Activity.  The forms may also be downloaded
        from the CCPA Website,

8.The owner of the highest bid will be notified on November 8, 2008. 

9.Payment will be due by November 8, 2008, in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.

10.    Arrangements will be made with the Dulcimer winner to award the Dulcimer at the CCPA
        Christmas Social, anonymously, or at another venue of the winner’s choice.

The mission of the CCPA is to preserve and protect
the cemeteries, churches, old pictures, stories, and culture of Cades Cove and its residents.
